Feminist Science Fiction: A Stereotypical Literary Genre in Itself?

Contends that the creation of the literary genre of “feminist science fiction” is in reality an injustice to feminist as that genre makes the assumption that writing content and preference is determined by gender. The author contends that such a categorization severely limits the type of work which is acceptable under this proposed genre. We must ask ourselves, is it any more fair to limit a feminist’s creative output than it is to limit her occupation or perceived societal role?
